Training seminar on prevention of discrimination against women

       On November 25, 2020, the Committee on Women and Family Affairs under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan in cooperation with the Public organization "Gender and development", held a training seminar with representatives of the judicial authorities and prosecutor's offices within the implementation of the “National action plan for implementing the recommendations of the UN Committee on the elimination of discrimination against women for 2019-2022” and the beginning of “16 Days of Activism against  Women Violence. The purpose of the training seminar was to increase the gender sensitivity of civil servants, discuss women's rights, ways to detect and prevent domestic violence, prevent early and forced marriages, and involvement of women in promoting the activities of the judicial authorities and prosecutor's offices.
      During the training seminar, using presentations and videos reports presented on “Implementation of gender policy, implementation of SDG-5, monitoring of the State program for the prevention of domestic violence in the Republic of Tajikistan for 2014-2023”, "Normative legal acts regulating family relations, the procedure for concluding and dissolving marriages, property obligations of spouses".
